Shots & Immunizations

The shots are very safe and protect the body against future sickness.

Your baby needs shots at:

  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 12-15 months
  • 4 years

Your child will need proof of these shots before starting daycare or grade school. Check with your doctor or nurse to make sure your baby is receiving all shots on schedule.

Here is a list of the type of shots that your baby will receive and the diseases that your baby will be protected against:

  • HepB: a serious liver disease
  • DTaP: lockjaw and whooping cough
  • PCV: serious blood, lung, and brain infection
  • Hib: serious brain, throat, and blood infection
  • Polio: a serious paralyzing disease
  • RV: a serious diarrheal disease
  • Influenza: a serious lung infection
  • MMR: measles, mumps, and rubella
  • HepA: a serious liver disease
  • Chickenpox: common childhood disease
